Ta’Kiya Young’s family wants the police officer who fatally shot the pregnant Black woman to be charged COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio authorities on Friday released bodycam video showing a police officer fatally shooting Ta’Kiya Young in her car in what her family denounced as a “gross misuse of power and authority” against the pregnant Black mother. Sean Walton, an attorney representing Young's family, said the video clearly shows that the Aug. 24 shooting of the 21-year-old woman was unjustified and he called for the officer to be fired and charged immediately. Authorities are investigating a possible link between Gilgo Beach accused killer Rex Heuermann and South Carolina woman Julia Ann Bean who was last seen alive in 2017. South Carolina authorities said they are investigating a possible connection between accused Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann and a woman who has been missing since 2017. Julia Ann Bean was last seen alive on May 31, 2017, in Sumter County. Her daughter reported her missing on Nov. 18, 2017, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. A person claiming to be a friend of the woman came forward and presented "third hand" information, the sheriff's office said. Michael Townson, 53, was sentenced by a judge to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years, state prosecutors said in a news release. Townson admitted striking and fatally choking Linda Lois Little after meeting her at a Daytona Beach nightspot in October 1991. Little's body was never found. Prosecutors said Townson told them he drove north on Interstate 95 and left Little's body near a dumpster in rural Camden County, Georgia. Checks of unidentified bodies in that county turned up no match for Little.
